SFI inspection time again – Registration open in Sweden (klick at SFI-button on the banner)
Persakers Speed Shop stands as usual host of the SFI tour in Sweden that happens 7 Mars. The advantage of this is that we do not have to send our parts to US with all that implies for freight costs and more. The tour goes first to Holland or Germany, they have every other year, then to Finland and Sweden and finally England.
Each country has its own organizer and in Sweden it is ME Racing Sevice AB (MERS). The Reason are that Founder and Partner Mats Eriksson is a member of SFI's chassis Committees. Which is mighty handy as he have the opportunity to influence decisions' in favor of the European situation, which sometimes do not match with the American market. Through his participation in the SFI Committees and SFI tour, an excellent reputation has built up, that Sweden and Europe will benefit from using MERS and SBF (Swedish Motor Sports Association).
Now its time to check what should be inspected and tagged before it's too late. Have you Clutches SFI Spec. 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, Rigid Auto Trans Shields SFI Spec. 4.1 Clutch Bellhousing SFI Spec. 6.1, 6.2, 6.3, Wheels SFI Spec. 15.1, 15.2, 15.3, Flex Plates SFI Spec. 29.1, 29.2 or Flex Plate Shields SFI Spec 30.1 is the time to check the tag what the dating’s are. Most parts do not applies inspection every years. Keep in mind that there may be multiple tags on a device. Disassemble and inspect the part needed to be inspected. Check if you have different years on parts.
We would also draw your attention to a little increase has occurred on prices. This is because the dollar changed since 2014. Not that MERS will serve other racers. The costs levied covering travel, food and shelter for all involved which, incidentally, is working with this on a voluntary basis. Although we in MERS do this on our own time and volunteer.
During the inspection day we prioritize those who travel long distance, for example at least six hours roundtrip and will return home the same day, we put you on red mark. Those of you who can leave, retrieve during the day or another day, send in advance and pick up on another occasion, can choose different color on your lips (see registration at www.meracing.com/sfi-reg). The handing starts at 10:00 am Saturday 7 march. Inspection starts at 12:00 am or as soon as the committee arrives straight from Finland.

Lars Göran "LG" Eriksson is the chief over al, while Mats Eriksson assist where needed and Lena Perés with a lot of assistants from Roland Forsberg manages the registration. Many hours where spent on this in addition to regular working hours.

Frank Johansen and Andy Robinson from England hang on to the tour around Europe. Andy has the corresponding license in England as ME Racing in Sweden.
