Interesting visitors came by today. Rolf and Håkan Malmgren came for a visit together with their long time friend Roland Gustafsson from Borlange. The brothers moved to Gothenburg long time ago but the dalecarlian dialect is well preserved.
What is interesting with this two guys is that they both have been working at Volvos design department for about 40 years , and been developing a lots of Volvo models during the years. Håkan was even involved in the Globetrotter truck body shape. He was the one that introduced the angled portion at the front top, to get best aerodynamic for the truck. Something that other brands took after later on.
- We have been scraping many clay models of the Volvo cars, and trucks, to get the best aerodynamics and design out of the bodies, says Håkan.
Today they came by the shop to have a tour and of course they had a interesting chat with LG about aerodynamic questions of the Green Goblin bodywork. Thanks for all tips.
